Besties

Sorry there was no post yesterday. I ended up going to a happy hour and that hour lasted for several. By the time I got home, I just wanted to chill. And, my outfit was less than desirable. It consisted of jeans and our school shirt. Consider yourselves lucky I didn't take a pic.

Moving on to today...I went with one of my best friends, Aimee, to celebrate another best friend, Alison, who is getting married in May. We traveled north to Springfield for the shower. We had a great time and I even got pretty tulips too! Alright, let's get down to business:

Black and White

Yo, yo! I'm back at it again! Today's outfit is all about the black and white trend. I'm pretty sure you'll see these pants a lot because I just love them that much! Today seemed to go on forever so I'm just gonna get right down to it-

Doll Face

The picture for today is quite special.  My co-worker, Lauren, took my picture just as we did yesterday (which was her birthday-HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY LAUREN!), BUT two of her speech and language students came with her.  These two 8th grade boys are two of my favorites so I asked for advice on where to take the picture and how to pose after we practiced small talk.  So, when you look at the pic, please note their direction! 

Sidenote: When telling the above story and showing the picture to the high schooler that helps me in the afternoon, she told me I looked like a doll today.  While I was not sure what that meant, she assured me that it was a compliment.  So, guess I'll take it!

These are the latest addition to my Toms collection.  I bought these lovlies for the two weddings I'll be in this Spring/Summer.  I figure I'll slip these gals on after the pictures are taken so I don't break my neck while breakin' it down on the dance floor.  I have no idea how I'm going to hold off wearing them until May!  For anyone thinking of purchasing a pair of these beauties, make sure to order a full size down-I had to get a size 5!!

Working Hard

Hey, hey! I'm back again and this time I'm at work. I'm a librarian so you'll see a lot of pictures with books in the background. I think that I must be a wrinkle magnet (or just like clothes that wrinkle easily) because I've barely been at work for two hours and it looks like I've been wearing this shirt for about a week! Anyhow, I've been asked several times today why I'm so dressed up. I guess I set the fashion bar pretty low at work if this is considered fancy. Enjoy!

Pinky Lee

Sorry there is no good picture today.  I was unable to get a good picture so I thought I'd give you this instead.  This beautiful dress is the newest addition to my closet! Pardon the dressing room photo and my lackluster hair.  I LOVE the vibrant color and the shape of the dress.  I like to call it my Zooey Deschanel dress.  I am obsessed with Zooey's style and her show, The New Girl.  Look to see me wearing this in real life soon!  I can't wait to style it!

Color Poppin'

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday. I only got a couple of pics yesterday and I'm not quite ready to post them yet (there is a little surprise in them I can't give away yet!).

On to today's look! I'm really trying to introduce more color in my wardrobe. If you ask my mom she'd tell you I wear way too much black. So, here is my black with some pops of brightness. I love this belt. I'm totally having a belt moment now and this pink belt is perfect. It actually came with a skirt from Target but I knew it wouldn't stay there long! I promise more pics next time. I've recruited a co-worker to help me out with pictures. This one was a rushed pic taken by my dad outside of their house tonight.
