Friday Finds

Before I start with my Friday Finds for today, I have to tell you all I finally tried the famous sock bun.  And it was an epic fail.  I'm not sure what I did incorrectly, but I did something wrong.  Perhaps I don't have enough hair to cover the sock.  Or the sock is too thick.  It looked terrible.  I will continue to try and when I finally have a sock bun worthy of a picture, you will all see it and rejoice in the glory of the sock bun!  Or something like that.

Here are some things I'm truly loving lately:

I'm obsessed with colored pants right now.  Bright colors or pastels, specifically in mint green.

Bright colors are so big for spring/summer so I want to continue that trend with a Bright Pink Blazer from Frenchi via Nordstrom (I also love the electric blue one!)

I've seen these tulip midi skirts everywhere on blogs and style sites lately.  I like the color of this Dee & Ray Jersey Tulip Skirt

I've been searching for the perfect chambray shirt for the summer...this Keeper Chambray Shirt from JCrew just may be the one!

    OK. I tried the sock bun too and it was terrible. Do you have layers in your hair? I felt like I had too many layers to tuck them into the sock effectively. Total fail. You're not alone!

      I'm glad to know I'm not alone! I do have layers in my hair and I agree that is what makes this such a fail. I tried it again later, I took a picture to post today, and basically tried to do the bun and ended up tucking and pinning the rest of my hair under. It ended up looking alright but not as easy as they make it sound!

    LOVE the mint pants and love ASOS. I tried on a pair from Zara and Paige recently... but neither of them fit me perfectly. Still on the hunt!
